The Bank That Grows From a Strong Foundation

Commercial Savings Bank is a locally-owned community bank that has been serving the financial needs of Carroll County residents for over 90 years.  The bank was founded in 1917 with capital of $25,000 and three employees.  Today that $25,000 capital has grown to more than $8 million dollars, and the bank now has 29 dedicated and friendly employees.  The local ownership and management continue to be the foundation of the bank's strength and define its unique character.

The bank has become Carroll's premier real estate lender for both residential and commercial property.  Along with real estate lending, Commercial Savings Bank offers all types of small business, consumer and agricultural loans.

IRS FIGHTS PHISH
Beset by large numbers of phishing attacks, the Internal Revenue Service established an electronic mailbox for taxpayers to send information about suspicious e-mails they receive that claim to come from the IRS. Taxpayers should send the information to: phishing@irs.gov. The new mail box allows taxpayers to send copies of possibly fraudulent e-mails involving misuse of the IRS name and logo to the IRS, whose investigators can then use information in the e-mails for further prosecution. Due to the volume the new mailbox is expected to receive, the IRS will not be able to acknowledge receipt or reply to taxpayers who submit e-mails. The new mailbox is only for suspicious e-mails and not for general taxpayer contact or inquiries.
